| Description | ACE-165 is a two component, neutral curing, silicone sealant, specifically designed for secondary sealing of insulated glass units (IGU). Elastomer sealing with excellent weather resistance and temperature tolerance is formed by mixing and curing of the two components at the designed ratio. |

As the primary or single seal in an insulating glass unit. For structural bonding applications. In totally confined spaces. On the surface of substrate that bleeds oil, plasticizer or solvent and so on (such as impregnated wood). In contact with or exposed to sealants that liberate acetic acid. In continuous water immersion or on the surface with fog, or wet surface, or in continuous wet place When substrate surface temperature beyond 40º C or below 10º C. |
| Primer |
Priming is not usually required when using antas-165. However, sealant adhesion should always be tested to determine the need for a primer. If required, primer should be applied in a thin film to the joint surface by using a clean lint-free cloth and allowed to dry before sealant application. |
| Curing and Maintenance | ACE-165 begins curing when it contacts with the moisture in air. It generally cures 2mm/day, and takes 21 days for fully-cure. In the beginning of using the sealant, please remain the sealant places fixed and flat. Solvent can be used to clean the fractured sealants and then fill up with the new sealants with same color and quality. |
| Mixing | To obtain ultimate physical properties, antas-165 should be thoroughly mixed using an airless mixing system. The cure rate may be adjusted by changing the base to the curing agent mix ratio from 9:1 to 13:1 by volume. The recommended mix ratio of the base to curing agent is 11:1. |
| Safety | It is nontoxic after entirely cured. Avoid direct contact with eyes when operating. If happened, rinse opened eye under running water for several minutes. During the curing process, sealant will release a small amount of organic molecules. Construction should ensure good ventilation. If necessary, take protective measures. Please keep children out of reach. |
